What i have done is, connected everything i got ( dvd player, ps2, pc ) to the tv, then you run just one audio jack back to your home theatre from the tv and run it as AUX device, that way you can enjoy everything.

If you just want audio, go to Radio Shack and ask for a cord to hook your MP3 player to your receiver(even though you are using it for your computer). They should show you a cable that connects via headphone jack from your computer to your A/V inputs in the back of your receiver(red and White). Thats what I did, and I use it everyday, and it cost me like only $7-$10. Hope this helps!!! Oh with your added detail connect it into the jack that has a little headphone symbol next to it(mine has that, I dont know if yours have it.
What you need to do is take your computer specs and buy a PCI card that could have a optical out put becuase it gives better sound quality and also 5.1 dobly surround sound. Without 5.1 dobly surround sound, there's no reason to purchase a HT system. Then buy a optical cable and hook it up to your HT system.
An HDMI and audio jack%26gt;to%26gt;left/right audio plug.
Tomek, you just wasted you money on the Home theatre if you are doing that.. why are u running everything thru teh TV when you have a receiver/amplifier

??
buy a Audio Interconnect Cable plug the mini jack into were you would plug in your computer speakers then plug the 2 rca cables into the a audio in input. put your reciver on that channel and enjoy. i have a link to bestbuy showing which cable to get.
Go to Best Buy and ask someone... you have to buy a cable...
Ok there are many correct answers here but some are going a little deeper than you need. You need a 3.5mm mini jack (for the back of you pc) that splits into 2 phono's (for the back of your theatre system). Plug it into the amp and not your tv as someone above was stating. You can use the same connector to connect an ipod or mp3 player to your system if you have one.
